Mad Skin’s roots go back to a high school treatment room in Las Vegas. Dealing with skin struggles that shook her confidence, Madi, the founder of Mad Skin, finally found an esthetician who truly helped her. In that moment, she knew she wanted to be on the other side of the treatment table, giving that same life changing confidence back to others.

After graduating and working in the industry for a few years, Madi felt a growing sense of unfulfillment. She wasn't impacting lives the way she had dreamed. In a pivotal moment right before her wedding, she and her soon-to-be husband, Blake, made a life-altering decision: since their lives were already changing, it was time to take the ultimate risk. Madi quit her job to go solo, starting from nothing to chase the fulfillment she became an esthetician for.

The fear was real. Starting with zero clients, the thought of making rent was so daunting that Madi began in a small shared room in Orem to create a safety net. But the risk paid off. Within just a few short months, her books were completely full. That small room couldn't hold the demand, and soon, hundreds of people were on a waitlist, waiting for their chance to see her.

Life got even more intense when Madi and Blake moved to Pittsburgh for the summer for his work. Refusing to leave her clients behind, Madi lived a "one week on, two weeks off" life. She flew back to Utah for seven-day stretches, working 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM every single day to fit everyone in. It was during this that they realized they had something special. They didn’t just want to manage a waitlist; they wanted to build a home where more people could be treated with this same level of care.

That realization led to the birth of Mad Skin. Madi and Blake decided to go "all in," finding a dedicated space and preparing to hire a team. This was the season of business plans spread across the kitchen floor and endless late nights fueled by a vision and a massive work ethic. At just 23 years old, they opened the doors in Lehi on October 3rd, 2022.
